Hyderabad, Oct 1: Telangana Political JAC Chairman Prof. Kodandaram has said that the Sunday’s Telangana March has succeeded in mounting pressure on the Centre on the Telangana State issue.
Speaking to the media here on Monday, Kodandaram said that unfortunately the State and Central Governments were in a feeling that they had succeeded in suppressing the “miscreants” during the March and it was painful that both the Governments have failed to talk on solution to Telangana issue.
Prof. Kodandaram said that he would observe daylong fast on Tuesday (Mahatma Gandhi Jayanthi) in protest against the State government’s repression against the activists during the Telangana March. He said that the JAC was contemplating to take up the Deeksha at Bapu Ghat instead of Indira Park from 10 am till evening.
Prof. Kodandaram said that the JAC could not coordinate with its member-political parties owing to delay in getting permission from the government for the March. He said the TPJAC would pass a resolution barring its members from criticizing fellow members from the JAC dais. He said that some mercenaries of Seemandhra rulers were in the JAC and they were resorting to violence to bring bad name to the movement
